End of day (Z Closure) and reports (Manager)
What Z Closure is
Z Closure closes the business operating day: it confirms that appointments for that date were resolved (paid, canceled, rescheduled, or no-charge with a reason).
It is not a tax document from the tax authority. LookAgenda X/Z reports are operational.
Step-by-step: Help: day cycle.
How to open it
There is one screen (wizard). Open it from:
- Billing → ⋮ menu → Z Closure
- POS, Commissions, or Business profile
- At sign-out, if the day is ready to close
Do not look for a silent close: the system opens the wizard so you can clear pending items.
How to close the day
- Choose the day marked as next (days are closed in chronological order).
- Validation: resolve open appointments and completed unpaid ones.
- Cash count: if there was cash, count it and close the register. That does not close the day.
- Summary: review totals (internal X report).
- Confirm Z Closure.
Rules:
- An invoice draft does not count as paid.
- A credit sale with a balance does not block Z (it stays in accounts receivable).
- An incomplete payment does block Z.
- A day with no activity can only be closed at zero after the official closing time.
- If you need to close early, use Extraordinary close with a reason and notes.
If a day was left open
The system may block scheduling, selling, or opening the cash register for a new day until you close the pending day.
You can charge appointments for that pending day from Billing. When you return, the wizard updates.
Cash register and Z Closure are not the same
| Action | What it closes |
|---|---|
| Close cash | The cashier’s shift (cash count) |
| Z Closure | The business day |
Commissions and close
- Commissions accumulate when each service payment is recorded.
- An appointment canceled or rescheduled at close does not generate a commission.
Reports
According to your plan, in Manager (especially on web) you can review:
- Sales and revenue.
- Productivity by professional.
- Commissions.
- Cash register movements.
- Other management reports if your plan/module includes them.
Use the web/tablet to export or review long tables more comfortably.
